The Appleton Haunted History & Mystery Tour

   Appleton Wisconsin, located at the northernmost point of Lake Winnebago, has history dating back to the 1830's. For hundreds of years before that, The Fox Valley Indians settled here. Nestled among the Victorian architecture and beauty of the Fox River, which flows through the city, lies a history in which events are not normal, but paranormal. Reports of ghosts and things that go "bump in the night" are common in most cities, and Appleton is no exception. From Houdini to the no longer existing Outagamie Asylum, the ghost stories of Appleton have been passed down through generations of residents, sending a chill down the spines of those who dared to listen by candlelight, sitting around the campfire, or in complete darkness.

  Join us as we look deeper into Appleton's paranormal past and even current haunts on a 2-hour tour of the city. You will be treated to stories of the strange, macabre, and downright terrifying!  Your hosts will entertain you with a darker side of Appleton you never knew existed. The cost is $20.00 per person and begins promptly at 6:30 pm IN FRONT OF THE HOUDINI BUST AT THE BACK OF HOUDINI PLAZA, on the corner of College Avenue and Appleton Streets. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the tour begins to allow time to be checked in. The tours are limited to 25 people.

 Not recommended for children under 10 years of age. Anyone under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. This is a walking tour, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Tours will be held rain or shine however, due to downpours or severe weather tours may be cancelled. We will notify by 4 pm on this page if a tour has been cancelled.  If you have reserved spots on the tour and can't make it, please be considerate and call the number below to cancel your reservation.

   Alcoholic beverages and Smoking will not be allowed on the tours, and anyone found in violation will be subjected to removal without refund. Please be respectful of other patrons throughout the tour.

  Spooks and Spirits Paranormal Tours are not liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur during the tour.
